    Doing a bit more research, I found an old fire map from 1896 which shows the building, without the rear additions. The map shows the building as a post office. I believe that a post office has been in Glouster since 1887, so the building may be at least that old. The hunt continues.

  • Here we go!

    After some delays, I’m very happy to get some mortar samples. Working this weekend to try them out and see what works so I can order mortar and get to fixin! Before I can install the wood framing, I need to repair the brick that supports it. As soon as I get the brick repointed, I can get started on the framing.
